Get Ready for Empty Line Ups!

Each Northern Baja SUP Weekender trip is two (2) days in length beginning early Saturday morning. We will meet in a specified location in San Diego at 6am and plan to cross the border around 6:30am. We will be returning back to San Diego by 3pm-6pm on Sunday. Longer and mid-week trips can be scheduled with advanced notification. Trips require a minimum of 2 paddlers and are capped at a maximum of 4 paddlers. We want to keep our crew tight and personal.

Friends, Good Food, and SUP!

We stand up paddle the reef and beach breaks around K-38 as well as breaks near La Fonda. The spots we surf are usually wide open. Yes, empty. Just what we're after, right? There are no rules and regulations in Baja regarding stand up boards in the surf zone, in the channel or anywhere... you want to surf it, go for it. As you can see below, the more friends you bring the better the price. Check it...

The cost per person is:

$350/per person
(two SUPers)
$300/per person (three SUPers)
$250/per person (four SUPers)

The price of your trip covers the following:

  • Full-Time Baja Experienced Surf Guide
  • Ground Transportation Throughout the Trip (insured incognito Volvo 740 wagon)
  • Full-Time Photographer (option to purchase photos at end of trip)
  • Lodging at the "Ranch House"
  • Light Breakfast Each Morning (fruit, juice, water, bagels, coffee)
  • Bottled Water at the Ranch and While on "Surf Patrol"
  • One FREE Case of Pacifico Beer For The Group
  • Saturday Night Lobster Dinner at Puerto Nuevo
  • AND a FREE Three-Minute Video of Your Trip (suitable for web only)

Don't want to travel with your board? Not to worry. We have boards and paddles for rent. Our boy, Mateo, will get you dialed in with a board and paddle for a price that you can't beat. Please email Manny and let him know if you'll need to rent a board and/or paddle for the trip.

Photos and Video Options!

Here's a sample itinerary of your SUP getaway (we may surf different spots depending on the conditions):

Saturday: Meet in a specified location in San Diego. Cross the border by 6:30am. Check into the Ranch House by 8am, unpack and go for a surf out front. There are lefts and right handers right out front of our house. Head for lunch as a group at the infamous taco stand in Primo Tapia with Lorenzo. Check conditions and get to where it's happening- surf again. Cold beers on the veranda and head out for dinner. Back to the Rancho for a fire above the beach. End the day with an ice cold beer and watch videos and photo slide show of our day.

Sunday: Up at dawn, grab some coffee and a bagel and we're off to surf the reefs around K-38. Be ready to paddle, this is a large wave field with many different breaks. Taco stand lunch at Taco Surf. Back to the Rancho for a siesta- or if you're fired up, hop in right out front for the second surf of the day. Noon, start to pack it up. If possible, squeeze in one last session and we're on the road by 2pm and in line to cross the border by 3pm.
